January 2025 SEO Monthly Performance Report

December closed out the year with strong momentum and excellent stability across Climate Works’ core keyword set. Rankings across heating, plumbing, and commercial HVAC continue to hold firmly in the top 10, with many priority keywords maintaining first-page visibility against aggressive local competition.

A major focus this month was content expansion and internal linking. We published multiple high-intent winter blog posts aligned with real homeowner search behavior and strategically connected them to existing service pages and supporting content. This strengthens topical authority, improves crawl paths, and reinforces priority revenue-driving pages.

Technical SEO remains perfectly maintained at 100%, with no regressions, no crawl errors, and consistent site speed well within Google’s recommended thresholds. This allows us to continue scaling content confidently without technical drag.

Keyword Performers

Right now Climate Works is averaging about 15th place across tracked keywords, with roughly 35 keywords already ranking on page 1, which is a strong foundation to build on.

The direction we’re taking next is to expand beyond branded searches by targeting more generic, high-intent terms people commonly use (for example “HVAC Ottawa,” “HVAC company Ottawa,” and core service phrases for heating, cooling, plumbing, and duct cleaning), so Climate Works shows up more consistently even when the searcher doesn’t already know the name.

We also expect to gain additional traction as our internal linking strategy continues to get crawled and indexed, which helps Google better understand priority services and strengthens rankings across the full site over the coming weeks.

Attending the Ottawa Home & Remodelling Show this weekend also supports our overall SEO momentum. We’ve already secured a strong backlink from a reputable source, and we built both a dedicated landing page and a supporting blog post around the event. These types of real-world brand signals help strengthen authority, improve local relevance, and reinforce Climate Works’ presence within the home services space — all of which contribute to stronger long-term rankings and visibility across Ottawa and surrounding areas.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO remains fully optimized and actively maintained:

  • Clean indexation and crawlability

  • No Core Web Vitals issues

  • Fast page loads (approximately 1 second)

  • No broken links or redirect issues

  • Schema and on-page SEO scoring holding at 100/100

This consistent maintenance ensures rankings are protected while content and authority continue to grow.

Internal Linking Strategy

We are ramping up an aggressive internal linking strategy to align the website with Climate Works’ updated service-focused direction. This helps strengthen visibility for HVAC, plumbing, duct cleaning, and home comfort keywords, while improving topical relevance and ranking potentials.

Next Steps & Ongoing Strategy

Moving into next month, our SEO efforts will continue to support Climate Works’ shift toward residential and commercial service-focused growth.

Our priorities will include strengthening visibility for high-intent HVAC, plumbing, duct cleaning, and total home comfort searches, with an emphasis on service, maintenance, repair, and replacement — not construction-based work.

We will also begin expanding geographic visibility in surrounding and rural service areas such as Arnprior, Carleton Place, Smiths Falls, and nearby communities to attract homeowners and property managers actively searching for reliable local service providers.

From a content standpoint, we’ll prioritize pages and topics that support first- and second-page rankings for core services while continuing to improve internal linking to reinforce Climate Works’ primary offerings.

In parallel, we’re finalizing Google Ads form conversion tracking so we can clearly measure lead performance. This will give us a solid understanding of how the ads are performing and help guide any adjustments moving forward.

These next steps keep the SEO strategy aligned with where the business is heading in 2025 and beyond, with a focus on sustainable lead generation and long-term growth.
