July 2025 SEO Monthly Performance Report

We’ve seen a strong jump in overall rankings this month. Our average position improved to 20.53, up more than four spots from last month—a clear sign that the changes we’ve been making are starting to take effect.

Beyond rankings, the site itself has begun a facelift. You can already see the changes on the homepage, where we’ve added a new navigational menu at the top of the page, a refreshed hero section, and a new top section to better guide visitors. The design direction is shifting toward brighter imagery and less alarming dark colors, moving away from the heavy red, grey, and black palette to create a warmer, more approachable feel for users.

At the same time, we’ve rolled out fresh content and begun cleaning up older material. One important focus is on duplicate content. While it’s perfectly fine to have targeted pages like Kanata duct cleaning or Barrhaven duct cleaning, copying and pasting the same text across multiple locations risks Google penalties. Much of the old content will need restructuring to ensure every page is unique, relevant, and helpful.

Our strategy continues to follow the They Ask, You Answer model that’s already working so well for our sister site, Climate Works. That means producing blog posts that directly answer the kinds of questions customers are actually asking. Power Vac of Ottawa doesn’t yet have the same domain authority as Climate Works, so improvements won’t be as dramatic, but our goal is steady, sustainable growth.

By consistently publishing valuable content, modernizing site design, and fixing structural issues, we’re building trust with Google and with visitors. The result should be a slow but reliable climb upward in rankings and visibility over the coming months.

Overall Average Keyword Position

Site Speed and Technical SEO Audit

On the technical side, our site speed remains very good and the latest SEO audit score came in at 97/100. That’s an excellent foundation to build on. A few minor issues were flagged, such as title tags being too long on some pages, but these are warnings rather than critical problems. We’ll address them naturally as we continue updating and restructuring content.

Next Steps and Strategies

Moving forward, our approach will stay consistent: we’ll keep publishing customer-driven blog posts—covering topics like duct-cleaning FAQs, dryer-vent safety, and indoor-air quality advice—while making sure our service pages are refreshed to directly answer what homeowners are actually searching for. Seasonal shifts remain a focus too: as we move from summer into fall, we’ll highlight duct-cleaning specials, heating tune-ups, and safety reminders, keeping our content aligned with demand.

At the same time, we’re continuing the important work of removing duplicate content and restructuring older pages so every piece of content stands on its own. This, paired with adding new and refreshed blog posts, will help us maintain the upward trajectory we’re already seeing in rankings. The bigger picture is about building trust with Google and other search engines—and that comes from consistently delivering content that’s unique, helpful, and relevant.

On the design front, the visual refresh of the site will continue. By moving toward a more modern, welcoming look—using warmer tones, brighter imagery, and a friendlier style—we’re making the site not only better for SEO, but also more engaging for customers who land on it.

In short, the strategy is more of the same—steady, sustainable improvement. Each month of duplicate cleanup, blog updates, and design modernization moves us closer to our long-term goal: a trustworthy, user-friendly website that both Google and customers reward with attention.
